Service improvements for both Australia and New Zealand!

We are glad to announce the following improvements with respect to our Container Consolidation Services to both Australia and New Zealand, effective 01-12:

- A weekly direct departure from the port of Rotterdam instead of Antwerp, via the new NEMO service of CMA CGM

- Improved transit times: Rotterdam-Melbourne 34 days, Rotterdam-Sydney 36 days, Rotterdam-Auckland 35 days

- Loading Australia and New Zealand on the same day: every Friday (closing Antwerp every Wednesday, closing Rotterdam every Thursday)

We are confident these improvements will make our clients even happier!

CTD (Contribution for THC and Drayage) as per 20-10

As you may have read, as per 01-10 Shipping Lines have announced implementation of their own THC charges.

In most cases, the THC charges have gone up.

This is also the case with the Shipping Lines we are using for our Consolidation Services to Australia & New Zealand.

Furthermore, last 6 months we have seen the trucking expenses gone up dramatically, a direct result of fuel surcharges and waitinghours at terminals.

So far, we have been subsidizing this ourselves, but this is no longer workable.

All of the above made us decide to follow other Consolidator’s decision to introduce a CTD (Contribution for THC and Drayage) of Eur 5,- w/m, effective 20-10.

GRI (General Rate Increase) as per 01-10

Following announced Rate Increases of the various Lines to Australia and New Zealand as per 01-10 our LCL rates to all ports will be increased Eur 5,- w/m.

Changed CFS details in Rotterdam

Please note our CFS details in Rotterdam have changed, the new details are as follows:

Eurogate Warehousing & Distribution, Smirnoffweg 42, 3088 HE Rotterdam (port nr 2370).

Opening hours: Monday - Friday 0730-1600hrs.

Do note at the moment we can not store IMO (hazardous goods), so IMO may only be delivered on the day we are loading our groupage containers (mostly on friday).

Groupage to Australia now also via Maersk Line

As you know, since November 2007 we are shipping our groupage-containers for New Zealand through Maersk Line.

We are very happy with this choice and – more important – so are our clients.

Last months we have shipped a couple of Australia bound (FCL) containers through Maersk Line and also to Australia they are performing very well, so well that we have decided to also start using them for our Container Consolidation Service to Australia.

By doing so, we are now in a position to offer rates at a considerable lower level than with the ‘old’ service. Call us!

New in the service is that we start offering a biweekly direct option to Brisbane (transittime 31 days!), Fremantle (transittime 31 days!) and Adelaide (transittime 42 days).

If required so, we still take Brisbane via Sydney and Adelaide via Melbourne, but at higher cost.

Sydney and Melbourne will be offered on a weekly basis, as usual.

We will be loading our groupage-containers (for both Australia and New Zealand) on Friday, and the closings are Wednesday for Antwerp and Thursday for Rotterdam.

We trust the change to Maersk Line will give our Australia service a positive ‘boost’ and are looking forward to working within the new formula.

Oceanfreightrates in EUR - effective 01-04-2008

Effective 01-04-2008, both Hapag Lloyd and Maersk Line introduce oceanfreightrates + surcharges in EUR.

Consequently, per given date we will offer LCL oceanfreightrates + surcharges in EUR as well.

If you didn't receive a new ratesheet showing the new LCL rates in EUR as of yet, please let us know, so we can send you one.

We are pleased to announce that ANZSS will keep current oceanfreight rates at the same level, until 31-03-2008.

The local charges in Rotterdam/Antwerp (loading- and b/l charges) will be slightly increased though, please ask your ANZSS representative for the details.

As usual at the end of the year, due to Christmas and New Year, we had to adjust our Loading Schedule.

Change in New Zealand Consolidation Service

The last months we have been receiving a growing number of complaints with respect to the service of Hapag Lloyd, especially from our New Zealand customers.

As we all know the Hapag Lloyd Sailing Schedules have become very unstable: serious delays occur, vessels are being deleted (and not being replaced), and ports are omitted (most recent Auckland last week).

As there is a very good alternative for New Zealand (perfect running Sailing Schedules and the fastest transittime (Rotterdam-Auckland in 32 days!) ANZSS have decided to follow the request of a growing number of customers in New Zealand and, as per the end of this month, start shipping the groupage-containers for New Zealand per Maersk Line.

We are certain the change to Maersk Line will have a positive effect on our New Zealand Consolidation Service.

So as per the end of this month ANZSS offer for all your LCL to New Zealand: perfect running Sailing Schedules, the fastest transittime (Rotterdam-Auckland in 32 days!) and the best rates!

We trust that as soon as the change took place the complaints of our New Zealand clientele will rapidly be a part of history.

For Australia nothing will change: our groupage-containers for Australia will remain with Hapag Lloyd.

Hapag Lloyd have postponed the introduction of the Peak Season Surcharge to October 15, 2007.

We are still negotiating with them as ANZSS want mentioned surcharge waived.

As per September 15, 2007, Hapag Lloyd announced a Peak Season Surcharge of Usd 150,- per teu.

At the moment we are trying to have Hapag Lloyd waive mentioned surcharge.

But, when Hapag Lloyd maintain this surcharge, consequently, per given date, our LCL rates will be increased with Usd 6,- w/m.

Our depot in Rotterdam (HSL – Holland Service Logistics) is open from Monday to Friday, from 0730hrs to 1800hrs.

HSL is known for their fast and smooth handling of all cargo booked with ANZSS, thus avoiding long waitingtimes when delivering in.
